David Loyn was a foreign correspondent for the BBC, and worked with Peter on many occasions in Afghanistan and Pakistan. He is an expert on Afghanistan. His most recent book, ‘The Long War’, tells the story of the US-led intervention over the last twenty years.

Robert Adams was a freelance cameraman and producer with Frontline television from 1992 to 2005, and a friend and colleague of Peter Jouvenal's both at Frontline TV and during many stays at the Gandamak Lodge in Kabul. Since 2008 Robert has worked as a response consultant on cases similar to that affecting Peter. Robert is working with David and many other of Peter's friends and family to find a resolution to Peter's continuing detention.

Richard Parry covered wars for 20 years as a cameraman, producer and director. He’s a founding member of Frontline News Television, whose stories are chronicled in the Penguin book, Frontline - The Mavericks Who Changed The Face of News Reporting. He directed and wrote the iconic movie South West Nine in 2001 (Metrodome), and a number of other feature films.
He is a dear friend of Peter's.
