Ed Vulliamy is a journalist who has written for The Guardian and The Observer for three decades. Awarded with the Ryszard Kapuśiński Prize for literary reportage, he has also written about painting and music. Vulliamy's mother is the renowned children's author and illustrator Shirley Hughes. He proudly considers himself a national disgrace.

Gala Sicart Olavide is a translator, editor and, above all, an eager reader. She has worked for seven years at MacLehose Press and is currently collaborating with Mountain Leopard Press. Gala has published translations at OpenDemocracy and TheConversation. A member of New Spanish Books' panel of experts, she lives in London.

Sergi Pàmies is a very regular presence in newspapers, radio, and television. Born in French exile, he is the author of three novels but best known for his short story collections. His previous literary awards include the 2007 City of Barcelona Prize and the eighth volume of stories, L'art de portar gavardina (The Art of Wearing a Trench Coat has already earned him both the 2019 Catalan Critics’ Prize and the 2019 Serra d’Or.
